On Friday 7th of June we welcomed our 3 cluster Primary Schools to Tynecastle for their Summer Festival. The three Schools who attended were Balgreen Phoenix Flyers, Stenhouse Black Cats and Dalry Golden Eagles.
The Academy Programme follows in light with basketballscotlands Cashback School of Basketball Programme to help kids in deprived areas raise their aspirations and behaviour.
The event was a huge success with all kids having fun and getting the chance to try something new while making new friends. The Event mad multiple different elements involved, Tina from basketballscotland came in to deliver a wheelchair basketball session, we had basketball snakes & ladders and then a mini tournament. Special thanks to all our volunteers/young leaders who helped out and made the event possible!
We will be looking to expand our Academy Programme next year.
