U12 Crags Game’s & Updates

Our U12’s this year entered into a new adventure that is “The Crags Games”

This allows our U12’s and some U10’s to get their first taste of game action against other clubs without the stress or pressure of winning. There are no scoreboards at these games as it is focused on having fun and enjoying the sport of basketball. Below are some photos from the latest game day.

The previous 2 weeks have also been a busy one for many other teams:

Senior Men: Won their first game by 2 points against West Lothian Wolves! They will also face off against the same Wolves team on Monday 21st at Currie High School in the Cup.

U18 West: In their first games back after the Christmas break the U18 West squad faced 2 tough tests against Glasgow City and North Lanarkshire Chiefs. Both games were within striking distance at half time as we were down by 10 in both but sadly we couldn’t close the gap as we sadly lost both games.

U18 East: Our East team had a cancelled game against Inverness City Lions so instead faced off in a friendly against Heriot Watt University in a friendly match. The boys held their own against a short handed but very experienced Heriot Watt team, sadly we lost by 12. The boys have one foot in the Play-off door with only 2 games remaining.

U16: Our U16’s traveled to Perth in the first round of games in Tier 1 of the NDL’s. With some new faces added to the team we faced Dundee Madsons and Panthers BC. Despite playing very well in the first game we lost to a strong Madsons team 54-63. In the second game the boys struggled to find any rhythm or any rebounds against Panthers and at the final buzzer Panthers deservedly won by 28, final score 42-70.

U14: The U14 team had an RDL in Edinburgh and faced Polonia Phoenix and Boroughmuir Blaze. The boys won both games giving great energy throughout and supported each other throughout both games excellently. We even had some U12’s step up and play in the games!
